The Beaverville Acadamy Here are some picture postcards of the Holy Family Academy in Beaverville. Believe all the cards date to 1916 or earlier. This postcard shows some of the buildings at the Holy Family Academy in Beaverville. Clarity leave something to be desired.
This second scan is of the Chapel at the Holy Family Academy. As I mentioned, I believe this to be pre 1916. This third scan is of the buildings at the Holy Family Academy in Beaverville. Probably includes the dormitories where the boarding school girls lived. This scan is of the Holy Family Academy grounds. The postcard refers to the area as the Children's Play Ground. Just a footnote. These last two cards were postally used. This card was written by a Paul Antoine. I didn't know that the school had male boarders. The addressee was Paul's father in Chicago. Postcard #3 was also postally used. The sender was Sr. J. Gabriel and written in French. From the Bob Bovie Collection |
